Diet Books Review: The Body Fat Solution by Tom Venuto

Weight watchers like to keep abreast of the latest happenings in the diet and weight loss industry, and most of them have read through at least 1 or 2 diet books. If you have read more than 1 of these diet books, then you obviously end up with the feeling that everything you read in there was just rehashed stuff. The Body Fat solution is one of those diet books that wants to stand apart from all that mess and come across as an effective solution to weight loss.

Tom Venuto has been a popular figure amongst the American population, and almost every one knows that he is a successful fitness expert and has won 28 bodybuilding competitions till date. He has authored this diet book mentioned above and he says that his aim in doing so was not just to become included amongst the list of zillions of diet books, but to propagate a new and healthy style of living.

This is why he has avoided limiting the book to just some diet recipes or mention of some exercises etc, like all the other run of the mill diet books do. Tom has given painstaking details of info on emotional, psychological and social aspects of weight gain and also includes tips on ways to stay motivated while dealing successfully with such temptations.

Tom has included a detailed list of foods and also mentioned about workouts too, but has chosen to keep it different and updated when compared to his previous diet book Burn the Fat and Feed the Muscle. He also states that his book is different from other diet books as he has advocated about the principles and not just ranted about some difficult to comprehend advanced diet tactics.

Another plus point in Tom’s book is the fact that readers tend to co-relate and identify with him and this is something which other diet books apparently fail to achieve.  He mentions that he had his own share of weight issues whilst in college and during his early body building days. But detailed scrutiny and study of his diet brought him to the current fitness level. Tom has tried to share and distribute his expertise through both of his diet books.

Whilst the first diet book was aimed at bodybuilders, this second book ‘The Body Fat solution’ is aimed at the general population who is not into much bodybuilding or muscle building and simply needs to watch their weight and stay fit. Tom has thus efficiently focused both of his diet books on 2 entirely different groups of the population.
